Eric Evans d0f2a780a0 start script causes flapping when used with runit 
When started in the foreground, invoke Cassandra using exec so that it
replaces the current shell instead of running it from a sub-shell.

Eric Evans 93a88e61c8 pass -D arguments to the jvm from startup script 
Let getopt parse -D options passed to the script, reconstruct them, and
pass them on to the vm.

Jonathan Ellis 0c5cd149a3 Add "bootstrap mode" to node startup. This causes the node to tell the 
nodes that have data it needs to send it the data, and not otherwise
participate in reads or writes until the bootstrap is complete.

Jonathan Ellis ce5e583b4b Move startup code into CassandraDaemon. Drop stdout and stderr. Add hooks for jsvc, which allows more thorough daemonization (such as dropping priviledges and setting process name). New startup script bin/casssandra provides out-of-the-box background mode without hacks like screen or nohup; -f flag restores old foreground mode. Also -p <filename> to log pid. Patch by Eric Evans for #20
